NASA's Curiosity rover, a car-sized explorer, has been roaming the Red Planet since 2011, and its journey has been filled with fascinating revelations. This was a big deal because sulfur crystals had never been spotted on Mars' surface before, and NASA described it as an "unexpected" find.
And here's where it gets even more intriguing. Curiosity went on to discover an entire field of similar bright rocks, leading to some fascinating speculation.
