Cyril Stevenson, who introduced the resolution by which the House voted unanimously to ask Scotland Vard to renew investigation of the 15-yetrold murder case, expressed surprise at the Assembly's action. 'I expected the majority United Bahamian Party to throw it out," Stevenson said.
He declined to reveal new evidence on the case which he claims is in possession of Raymond Schindler, an American detective who figured in the original probe. But Stevenson added: "Schindler told me without doubt he could put his hand on the murderer who he said is a member of the Bay Street political party." Stevenson also said: "I "feel it imperative that the Duke of Windsor come to Nassau to reveal information he has at his disposal concerning the r. It was the Duke's bungling that was responsible for the investigation not being carried through." The body of Sir Harry, a multimillionaire, was found bludgeoned on a fire-swept bed in his home July 8, 1943. Sir Harry's son-in-law, Count Alfred de Marigny, was charged with the slaying and was acquitted after a sensational trial. The Duke of Windsor, governor of the Bahamas at the time, hired veteran detectives to work on the case, which has never been solved.

Ardor Blast Rocks Navy Plane; Five Killed BALTIMORE, May 20 WV-An explosion rocked a big Navy seaplane being scrubbed down with cleaning fluid in a Martin Co. hangar today, killing five workmen and hospitalizing three others. Four of the work crew escaped injury, The plane, a two-engined P5M2 Marlin, was one of about 100 which are being returned to Martin for modifications over a two-year program. It was being cleaned with the liquid solvent preparatory to repainting.
A muffled roar shook the paint hangar, located at the far end of the Martin airfield from the main cluster of buildings. Huge clouds of gray smoke billowed but there was virtually no sustained fire. Martin and Navy officials said cause of the blast would not be announced until after their formal inquiry. But members of the two Western delegations were puzzled as to what the Soviets have in mind. About all they seemed to be sure of was that Soviet Foreign Minister Andrei A. Gromvko was not eager to break off these secret talks going on outside the Big Four Foreign ministers conference.
At a meeting yesterday with Secretary of State Christian A. Herter British Foreign Secretary Selwyn Lloyd, Gromyko turned down a Western proposal for broadly based new scientific studies of nuclear detection problems, The West wanted three-power studies to begin at once on underground atomic and hydrogen weapons explosions and on technical criteria that would warrant an on-site inspection of a suspicious disturbance. Gromyko accepted only a study of the high altitude problem. But he seemed to indicate that the Soviet Union might enter into more sweeping technical investi-' gations, including the underground problem, on these conditions: 1. That the three pqwers agree that no relation exists between the number of seismic disturbances I occurring in the world each year and the number of on-site inspec-' tions needed to enforce a test plan.
I 2. That fixing the number of I such inspections would not be held up or conditioned by the findings of the scientists.
